Background

Charlotte's engagements consistently return to a single structural issue: wealth managers underinvest in the middle-office functions that make front-office advisors effective, then treat the resulting advisor attrition as a compensation problem rather than what it usually is — a data ownership problem. Advisors who can't get timely, accurate client data from the middle office look worse to clients than their skills warrant, and eventually leave for a firm where that isn't true.

She led the operating model redesign work behind a private bank's front-office restructuring and continues to advise wealth managers on how advisor-facing data infrastructure should be owned and governed.

"Advisors don't leave for money first. They leave because nobody owns the data that makes them look good to clients."
