Background
Ravi's engagements often begin with a smaller or mid-tier institution convinced that a piece of regulation was written for firms far larger than themselves. His response is consistent: proportionality is a legal concept with real substance, not an informal excuse to under-invest in compliance infrastructure — and firms that treat it as the latter tend to discover the difference during a supervisory review, at the worst possible time.
He has advised on regulatory reporting function redesign across insurance and asset management clients, and works with the firm's compliance metrics methodology, arguing that most risk and compliance functions report the wrong numbers to the wrong committees.
