Biography
Sarah Kwan joined Mercer & Stone in 2016 and was appointed Counsel in 2022, focusing on ICC and LCIA commercial arbitration for financial institutions and energy clients.
She works closely with Eleanor Whitfield and Sophie Lindqvist across the firm's institutional arbitration caseload.
Philosophy
"What do clients misunderstand about arbitration?"
How much procedural flexibility they actually have, if they use it early. Parties who agree bespoke procedural timetables at the outset tend to have a far better experience than those who default to institutional rules without discussion.
