Anjali Mehta

Counsel, Financial Regulation
CounselFinancial RegulationJoined 2018

Biography

Anjali Mehta joined Mercer & Stone in 2018 and was appointed Counsel in 2024, working alongside David Okonjo-Reid and Nicholas Farrow on FCA and PRA enforcement matters.

She has particular experience advising firms in the first 72 hours after receiving notice of a regulatory investigation, when early positioning is most consequential.

Philosophy

"What do clients get wrong about regulatory investigations?"
That there's time to think before responding to a first notice. There often isn't — the initial response shapes the regulator's view of the firm for the rest of the investigation, so we try to be involved from the very first call.
